Mr W; J. Jordan, High Commissioner for New Zealand, in Great Britain, who is at present in Wanganui, is expected to visit Palmerston North, in company with Mrs Jordan, within the next ten days.
Mr R. Girling ' Butcher, Inspector of Fire Brigades, and Mr H. R. Brown, of the Fire Service branch of the Internal Affairs Department, visited Palmerston North yesterday, when they met members of the Palmerston North Fire Board.
Assuming his first Ministerial appointment in the French Diplomatic Service, M. Gazel, accompanied by Madam Gazel and their 21-year-old son, arrived in Auckland yesterday as the’first Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of prance in New Zealand.
