MOTOR TYRE LICENSING
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 21. In the House of Representatives today, Mr K. J. Holyoake (Nat., Pahiatua) asked the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Sullivan) whether, in connection with the issue of licenses for the manufacture of tyres, he had power to appoint any other person to replace himself as the appeal authority, or whether his power was limited to nominating another person to report to him. \\ ould the Minister grant persons who were not applicants the right to make appeals, and would he direct that the appeals would be held in public? Mr Sullivan: I am not the appeal authority. It is entirely independent of me.
