OUSTING NAZIS

NO BUSINESS RIGHTS

(Rec. 12.50 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 23. A Frank 1 urt-ou-Yiain message says that Nazis will not be allowed to retain their wealth, power or influence in any capacity. That is the theme of a new l,an by the Allied military authorities in Germany designed to de-Nazi ly every phase of German life. The Military Governments have hitherto directed their attention mainly to ousting Nazis from Governmental and public positions. The new directive, however, clearly specifies the banning of Nazis in business, professions or other occupations. The directive states: “Those removed will be replaced by persons who, by their political and moral qualities, are deemed capable of assisting in developing genuine democratic institutions in Germany. Their removal will mean that persons designated as hostile to Allied purposes will he disqualified from engaging in their businesses or professions thereafter and will be limited to employment of an unimportant nature. These' persons will be banned from receiving pensions directly or indirectly or any public funds and will lose all civil rights.”
