GOVERNING INDO-CHINA
CAPACITY OF FRENCH
(Rec. 11.10 a.m.) PARIS, Aug. 28. Admiral Georges Argeirlieu, who will soon be leaving., to assume the GovernorGeneralship of Indo-China, denied assertions that France was unable to administer the colony. He said members of the Administrative Corps were still in Indo-China, where they had remained throughout the occupation. He believed the majority were noncollaborationists who were prepared to resume their functions. Admiral Argenlieu said France would be guided by the principles of the United Nations Charter in governing the colony.
