CHANDRA BOSE DEAD
LONDON, Aug. 23. Tokio reports that Chandra Bose has died in hospital in Japan alter a plane which was taking him from Singapore to Japan crashed. Before the war Bose was a prominent Indian Nationalist. Early in the war he went to Germany as a propagandist tor Indian independence. After tho Japanese entered the war he was transferred to Asia. He formed in Singapore the so called Indian Provisional Government and army.
