Tile primary schools quadrangular tournament at New Plymouth concluded yesterday, when Taranaki beat Wanganui, 11 —3, and Manawatu beat Rangitikei, B—o. For Manawatu tries were scored by Niniot and Spark and one was converted by Sullivan. Splendid football was played by all the teams, in perfect weather conditions. Manawatu, with an improved forward pack, got more of the ball today. The final points were: Taranaki 6, Manawatu 3. Wanganui 2. Rangitikei 1. By defeating Wellington by 5 points to nil. Unit won the primary schools quadrangular 'Rugby tournament at Levin. Ilorowhenua beat Wairarapa, 16 —11. Unit’s points totalled live. Wellington and Ilorowhenua were second equal with three, and Wairarapa were last with one.
