PARATROOPS FULFIL PLEDGE. (Rec. 10.10 a.m.) BERLIN. Aug. 22. The United States 82nd Airborne Division lias fulfilled its pledge that one day, in peace or war, it would “jump on Berlin.” A group of 91 officers and men, mostly veterans of North Africa, Sicily and Anzio, parachuted from planes on to a potato patch in Berlin’s Neuekoln district.
