TAKARO TENNIS CLUB
The annual meeting of the Takaro Tennis Club was held in the pavilion on Tuesday. Arrangements were made for the coming year and the enthusiasm of the members present augured well for the season. The election of officers resulted: Chairman, Mr W. Bowden; secretary, Mr J. Stringer; club captain, ill* J. Christie: vice-captain, Mr M. Ronnie; delegate to Manawatu Lawn Tennis Association, Mr Christie; committee, officers ox officio, Mesdantes D. Simon, and I. Parlane, Miss E. Francis. Messrs A. Bovis, E. Carter, N. Johansen and M. Rennie. The courts are in splendid order and the opening of the season should be early provided the weather from now on is satisfactory.
