DEFAULTERS' APPEALS
The sittings of the No. 2 Revision Authority (Mr W. H. Woodward, S.M.) were adjourned yesterday in so far as Palmerston North is concerned and are to resume on September 3. On Friday the Authority will travel to Christchureh and will be engaged in hearing appeals there, company with the No. 1 Revision Authority (Mr A. H. Johnstone, K.C.), who has been sitting in Auckland. In Palmerston North yesterday appeals for release from detention from the following defaulters were heard: Douglas Lester Smith, nurseryman and winch-driver of Ahaura, West land; Frederick Arthur Unsworth, welder, of Westport; Nelson Goldsbury, shepherd, of Wanganui, and John Dochertv, canister maker, of Christchureh. In' all four cases the decisions were reserved.
