(12.45 p.m.) CHUNGKING, Aug. 21. '• General AYedemeyer has announced that he has received ward from Mukden that all American personnel landing there would probably bo interned until the Russians permit the Japanese to allow such land-rigs. The Japanese have again sent a radio message to General MacArthur asking him not to parachute humanitarian teams and added that, with the co-operation of the Red Cross and • Swiss officials, the captives are being | adequately provided for. "We are ! amply protecting the teams which have already been flown to the camps, but. it is impossible for us to bear 'I the ! responsibility for the safety of f sucl? teams in the future," said the Japanese message.
