CHEAPER PETROL
BRITAIN'S NEW PRICES
(Rec. 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 21 It is officially announced that the price for petrol and Diesel oil will be reduced by 2d and Id a gallon respectively as from today. Petrol will be Is lljd a gallon. Paraffin, creosote and bitumen are also reduced. The reductions are a result of decreased importation costs following the end of the European war and the cessation of Atlantic convoys.
