APPEAL BOARDS FINISH
(Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 20 The Government's appreciation of the work performed by the Armed Forces Appeal Boards, whose activities have come to a conclusion with the cessation of hostilities, was voiced today by the Minister of National Service (Mr McLagan). "It was to the Armed Forces Appeal Boards that the task was entrusted of maintaining a proper balance between the requirements of the Armed Forces on the one hand and the efficient production of the primary and secondary industries on the other," said the Minister. "The Appeal Boards have at all tunes carried out their most difficult duties in an efficient, fair and impartial manner and their decisions were based on the paramount consideration of the needs of the country at war."
