EXTRACTS FROM “STANDARD.” AUGUST 7, 1915. . According to an extraordinary Press Association message from Berlin Warsaw had fallen to the Gormans. It was reported that the Russians were continuing to withdraw. London and Paris cablegrams reported that preparations were being made for the entry of Italy in the naval and military war against Turkey in the Dardanelles. An Italian officer was reported to be preparing arrangements with the British at the Dardanelles. The New Zoaland Minister of Defence (Mr Allen) had stated that if the British Government accepted the offer of the New Zealand Government of two more battalions of infantry, Now Zealand would have a brigade of infantry. There would be 12,000 men in camp by November 30.
