Among the family of the late Mrs Ada Isabella Chandler, of Grey Street, who died recently, is Mr H. H. Golf, of Aramoho, ‘Wanganui, whose name did not appear in the obituary notice published last evening.

Oil Friday, May 25, the marriage took place at Ashford, England, of Patricia Dorothy Susan, elder daughter of Mr and Airs G. L. Wilkinson, of London, and Sergeant Albert Colin Walker ILN.Z.A.F., younger son of Mr and Mrs A. J. Walker, of Konini, Pahiatua. Mrs L. O. Jones and Mrs W. A. Keeling were hostesses at an afternoon tea party held in' the Roseo tearooms in honour of Mrs Alan Peterson, of Argyle Avenue, who is shortly leaving Palmerston North to take up her residence in Lower ,Hutt. The guests included Mesdames Anderson, French. Gilding, Godding, Jollands, Long, Smith and Yates. The wedding took place in Wellington on Saturday of Miss Helen Montague and Mr J. N. Massey, ALP. for Frankton. Aliss Alontague, who is the daughter of the late Mr and Airs J. F. Alontague, of Auckland, has been at Parliament House for 17 years and was the first woman secretary. Air Alassey is the son of the late Rt. Hon. W. F. Alassey, a former Prime Minister and of Airs Alassey. The bride was given away by the Hon. Adam Hamilton and the ceremony was performed at St. Paul’s Cathedral by Rev. Canon ]). J. Davies. The bride was private secretary to the late Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates at the time of his death and when Hon. W. Perry was appointed to succeed him as Minister of Armed Forces and War Co-ordina-tion she remained as private secretary to him and has been with him evci, since.
