LABOUR PARTY
At the monthly meeting of tile Palmerston North Labour Representation Committee delegates representing various industrial organisations wore extended a welcome by the chairman (Mr W. Cannon). It was agreed that Mr llansen. divisional area officer, he asked to address a combined meeting of local branches and that the next open forum he held in tho Municipal llall, Miss O’Flynn, from Wellington, to he the speaker. Tho junior Labour Party progress report was given by Mr Gill, who said the committee was awaiting official notice for use of the liali. Mrs Bennett gave the National Savings Committee’s report ancl moved that affiliations he circularised regarding continued interest in National Savings. Mr Gill gave notice of his desire to resign his position on the L.11.C. executive and his resignation was accepted with regret. Mr Lyons was then elected to fill the position.
