WEDDING

■ OSBORNE—CLOUGH. A wedding of wide interest look place, in All Saints’ Church, Palmerston North, recently, . the contracting parties being Nina Louisa, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. R. Clough, “Hill 1 View,” Shannon, and Sergeant-Pilot, Alan Andrew, only son of Mr and Mrs Osborne, of Foxton. Tho bride, who was given away by her father, presented a charming picturo in a beautiful frock of magnolia satin, the long train being adorned by a true lover's knot l'uchcc! in satin ribbon. Over this hung a delicately embroidered tulle veil, held in place with a halo of orange blossom. Sho carried a bouquet of white pink-tinted begonias, cyclamen and roses, ending in a trail of asparagus fern. Sho was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss .Toan Clough (sisotcr of the "bride) and Miss Paula Small, of Shannon, who looked exquisite in wcll-eut frocks of blue and pink cloquo respectively, with crochet mittens to match and head-dresses of little Juliet caps worn with a cluster of blue and pink flowers. They carried bouquets of blue and pink. Tho bridegroom was attended by Mr R. Whitcombe, as best man, and Mr H. Whitcombe, as groomsman, both of Palmerston North. As the bride left the church, sho was presented with a. silver horseshoe by little Annette Iliggie, of Shannon. The reception was held at tho P.D.C., whero Mrs Clough, mother of the bride, wearing a black opossum fur coat over a bluo ensemble with hat and spray to match, and Mrs Osborne, mother of tho bridegroom, wear ing a wine onsomblo with hat and_ spray to match, received their guests. Numerous telegrams from all parts of Now Zealand were read and tho usual toasts honoured. Later the happy couple left by service car for the north, the brido travelling in a fawn tailored suit with brown accessories and a dark brown fur capo, the gift of the bridegroom. They were the recipients of numerous gifts. ,
