CHRISTMAS GREETINGS
R.S.A. TO SERVICEMEN.
(Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 22. Sixty thousand members oi the New Zealand Returned Services Association, of whom upwards of one-third are \eterans of the present war, have sent greetings to tne New Zealand Services in the held.
The Dominion president (Mr B. J. Jacobs), in a message for publication in the N.Z.E.F. Times, expressed disappointment that the hopes expressed i'oi* victory and homecoming for this Christinas had not been realised, but said the U.S.A. looked forward with confidence to a reunion at Christmas, 194-5. The five years' war was a long and weary period, Mr Jacobs added, but judging by the exploits of the New Zeaianders during the past jear they were determined that the division should make, a substantial contribution to complete victory, which now is in sight. Mr Jacobs has also sent messages to the heads of Services. Seasonal greetings have been exchanged between the General Officer Commanding the New Zealand Military forces, Lieut.-Gencral E.
