SUNSHINE CLUB
An enjoyable programme was presented at a social afternoon held by the Sunshinn Club this week. Mesdames Drake and O. Mclntyro opened proceedings with vocal solos, and selections rendered by the Townswomen's Glee Club, with Mrs •Tones accompanying, gave much pleasure. Elocutionary items by Mrs P. Edwards were followed by a pleasing little playettf produced by Mrs Humphreys, the cast including Mesdamcs Whitehead. vVilson, McLntyrc, Jamicson, and Miss Edwards. A competition was won by Mesdamcs Humphries and Melntyie. Regretful leave was taken of two members. Mrs Wilson, of Roy Street, who is leaving for Auckland, and Mrs C. Jamieson, who will shortly proceed to Dunedin. The president (Mrs J. J. Waller) presented them with bouquets, and conveyed good wishes of their fellow members for- happiness in their now spheres. Musical honours were accorded the deparling guests, Mrs W. 11. Boon presiding at the piano. The tea hostesses, who were also responsible for the effective floral decorations, were Mesdamea Jamieson, Watson and Shaw.
