DROWNING TRAGEDIES
(Press Assn.) WANGANUI, Jan. 2. Mr Kenneth Flyger, aged 35, a farmer of Turakinn, was drowned while swimming in the Turakina River about 12 miles from Wanganui on Saturday. The accident was witnessed by members of his young family of four. The body has been recovered. _ (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 2. Norman Henry Beardsley, agon about 11, was drowned at Brooklamls Beach this afternoon. The hoy lived at Burwood. He was seen apparently in difficulty in a pothole, hut was drowned before rescue was possible.
