AMERICAN FRUIT RATION
(1.15 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 27. The Food Administrator (Dir \\ ickard) announced a nationwide rationing of canned fruits and dried vegetables as soon as the necessary machinery could be established. The scheme would give everyone a yearly average of 331 b of these commodities during 1943, instead of as at present 451 b. Dlr Wickard said that the increased military requirements had made rationing necessary.
