CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
“Adam and Fallen Man” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, throughout the world on Sunday. The Golden Text was Romans 5: 19: “As by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obcdienco of one shall many he made righteous.” Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon were the following from tho Bible: “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good ; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the ahundance of the heart his mouth speakoth.” (Luke 6: 45.) Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to tho Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy: “The Son of the Virgin mother unfolded the remedy for Adam, or error; and tho Apostle Paul explains this warfare between the idea of divine power which Jesus presented, and mythological material intelligence called energy and opposed to Spirit.. Hence tho fact that, to-day. as yesterday, Christ casts out ovils and heals the sick.” (pp. 534, 142.)
