PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
An application by St. Andrew's Church, Palmerston North, for an assistant-minister was agreed to by the Wanganui Presbytery, meeting at Marton, and the congregation was congratulated on its forward move. Rev. R. Warnock presided. The presbytery agreed to support the appeal for earthquake relief for the Wairarapa churches, and to commend the cause to all the churches. Satisfaction was voiced in connection with the substantial credit in the Assembly's mission budget; the presbytery exceeded its quota of the budget by a small margin.
