CONVERSION OF CYCLE
Fourteen days’ gaol with hard labour was tbo sentence imposed on Walter Rangi, soldier, aged 20 years, when he appeared before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., in the Court to-day charged with the conversion to his own use of a cycle valued at £7, the property of Rita Rollerson. Sergeant Mcßae said Constable Baker saw accused take (lie cycle from a' stand in the Square last night and it was later found that the cycle was taken earlier from Cuba Street. Accused admitted that ho bad heard a lecture by the colonel in charge of his unit against the taking of cycles.
