A remand for a week was granted when Douglas Eifiold Meehan, brewery worker, of Flyger’s Line, was charged in the Magistrate’s Court, with having broken and entered the promises of Alasdair Macdonald, at Longburn, and stolen five quart bottles and twelve flasks of whisky, valued at £7 2s lOd. Bail was fixed at £2OO, with one surety of £2OO, and accused was ordered to report twice daily to the police.
