PATRIOTIC FUNDS.

Sir, —I desire to thank “Citizen” for the opportunity which he has given me to clear up any confusion that might exist regarding the nonliability for income tax ot donations to patriotic funds. The answer to each of the instances he has given is in the negative. “Citizen” is quite right in saying that there are some people who imagine that if thej T give £IOO to some patriotic fund they would have to pay extra taxation by so doing.
