Mis L. Brabant has returned to Palmerston North after a visit to Waitara, where sho was a guest of Mrs Brabant, senr. Mrs W. M. Garner will leave by train on Monday for Wellington where she will stay a few days before going to take up her • new abode in Christchurch. Mr Garner, pastor of the Emmanuel Congregational Church, j who is taking up another appointment there, will leave for Christ-J church on Monday. |
There was a large attendance at the monthly meeting of the Hospital Women's Auxiliary, held yesterday. The president (Mrs M. Aitcheson) moved a motion of sympathy with the relatives in the recent death of one of the members, Mrs W. H. Richardson, this being expressed in the usual manner. A new member was welcomed, Mrs Newth, and members had the pleasure of electing her to the position of treasurer. One descrying case in which clothing is required was reported and taken up by the auxiliary.
