ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH.

Members of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church held their annual meeting last evening, Itev. J. Hubbard presiding. In presenting the session report, Mr W. 13. Tennent appealed for more Sunday school workers. The need was greater now than ever because of the church’s extended activities and growing Sunday school roll, he said. Tributes were paid to the work of Mr and Mrs Hubbard and Sister Iris Wilson, deaconess. Mr Hubbard thanked the office-bearers, adding that the splendid attendances at the church services were inspiring, as also were the achievements of the various organisations connected with the church. Deacons elected arc Messrs J. Callesen,- L. S. Waterreus. V. Gcrrand, F. W. G. McLeod, J. Piper, G. Skinner, and S. D. Charlcson. Three new' members appointed to the session are Messrs G. C. Petersen, C. A. E. Hyde and G. 13. Gills. Three gifts of £SOO each from members, as the nucleus of a now building fund, wore announced. To this £ISOO it is intended to add £IOOO bequeathed to the church by the late Miss Nita McHnrdy, making a start of £2500 towards the cost of a new church building.
