V FOR VICTORY

ADOPTION IN DOMINION. (Special.) WELLINGTON, July 23. The Government has under consideration the official adoption of the V for Victory symbol which lias made such a remarkable impression in many parts of the world. This was indicated by the Acting-Prime Minister (Air Nash), to-day, when his attention was drawn to the iact that Australia has taken action in that direction. Discussing possible methods of utilising the slogan, Air Nash said it might lake the shape of patriotic badges for sale, also victory stickers, which could be sold for attachment to envelopes though not having any postage value. Receipts from the sales of these slogans could go either into the patriotic Hinds or the War Expenses Account. “There is,” added Mr Nash, “an element of reassurance coming from the fact that the response in the occupied countries is so real and is likely to be even stronger as the days pass.” ,
