PATRIOTIC SOCIETY.

ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the Alanawatu Patriotic Society, last evening, ( Air A. E. Mansford presided over a r good attendance. 1 In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, Mr Mansford 2 stated it was gratifying to see that ( the revenue was more than the expen- l diture owing to the improved economic conditions and that there had not been so many calls on the association 1 However, it was probable that, as a result of a survey, the expenditure 1 this year would exceed last year's. 1 The motion was seconded by Mr J. y A.
