(From Our Own Correspondent.) A party was held on Wednesday to honour Miss Betty llurdlo and Mr Dougtaa Hills, who have since been married. (Ja.ds were played by the older people while tlie young folk enjoyed dancing to supplied by Mr and Mrs M. Hcid and Alis P. 11, Simpson. j tie card winners were: Mrs Isicivers, senr., 1, Airs Hcayns (sealed) ; Mr J. ixairn 1, Air Tootiey (sealed). The winners ot tlie Gay Gordons dance were the guests of honour, and Alts* L. Vincent and Air Schrieber won the Alonte Carlo. AJrs Baker, senr., called upon Alius Hurdle and Air Alma to accept a line array ot presents their friends had brought. Misa Hurdle, assisted by MP bridesmaid, Miss Bauienec, opened tlie parcels, and Air lulls expressed thank-s on benalf ot his fiancee. There was an excellent attendance at the lortniglitly card party under the aus pices of tne Hall Committee. Prize-wm-ners were: Aliss Warnc 1, Airs Vincent tsealcd); Mr Vincent 1, Air A. E. Peatsol! (sealed). The mens prizes were don., ated by Air Schrieber. A vote ot thanks was passed to Air \V°. 12. lulls, who had sold a sheep and donated the proceeds the soldiers parcels fund.

There was a good attendance at the programme presented by Rev. C. Eaton and party trom St. Paul's Alethodist Church, i'ahnerstou North, on i ucsday evening, those contributing being Air and Airs Baddy and Air and Airs 11. Prince. The annual meeting ot the Women's Fellowship was held on July 16 when there was a good attendance of members and visitors irom Feilding. Baker; secretarytreasurer, Airs A. 11. Lauig; missionary steward, Airs Pearson; birtnday steward, Airs Porlch; cradle roll superintendent, Airs Beazer; organists, Aiesdamo A Humphrey and ihonipson. Mrs Flavell gave a short talk on the visits of Sister jean, ot liawera, and Sister Merle, who has been ou furlough from Bilua. A written competition arranged by Airs Beazer resulted in a tie between three ladies, Airs Thompson winning the draw. The hostesses wero Alesdames Uaker senr.. and Signal. Air and Airs R. W. Humphrey, of Alangoane Road, are spending a holiday in Wellington as the guests of Mrs Tonlce Miss N. Baing, of the H.twera Hocpilal staff, is spending sick leave with her parents, Mr and Airs A. 11. Laing. private Reginald Hills and Private H. Nairn, of Trentham camp, have been spending leave with their respective parents, Air and Airs Hills and Mr *and Mrs Nairn. Air T. A. Shalders is spending a few days in Napier as the guest of Air and Airs P. Reid. Air A. Wishnowsky is visiting Wellington.
