The Egyptian Senate to-day considered Captain Oliver Lyttelton's appointment as Minister to the Middle East. The Premier (Sirry Pasha) expressed satisfaction at the selection ol Cairo as his headquarters said there was no interference with Egyptian sovereignty. A Supplementary Estimate has been is-ued providing for £SOOO a Tf ar salary for Captain Lyttelton, £BOOO a year for expenses, and £7OOO for the staff.
