New York.—ln maritime circles it is rumoured that a mass submarine attack on a convoy 450 miles_ east of Greenland resulted in the sinking of four British ships—the Gregalia. the Esmond, the Bengore Head, and the Empire Caiiboux, each carrying American supplies.
