AIR FORCE AUXILIARY
PROGRESS OF SCHEAJE. (Press Assn) WELLING 1 ON, Alay 30. Further information has been sii)>plieci by the Minister of Defence regarding the activities of the Women’s -Auxiliary Air .Force scheme which has now progressed sufficiently to warrant its extension beyond the initial stage during which members of the auxiliary were being gradually absorbed into the Royal New Zealand Air Force station at Rongotai. Jt is now proposed to post approximately 110 selected applicants to the Royal New Zealand Air Force at Harewood at the end of this week anil they will take over a variety of positions Including mess, stall', clerical work, fabric work, and parachute packing. The selection of applicants tor the Women's Auxiliary is proceeding steadily, stated Mr Jones, and it is anticipated that postings to Wigrarn will commence about the middle of June, while the ground training school at Levin will he dealt with approximately a mouth later.
