VEHICLES FOR ARMY. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. March 25. At the outbreak of tile war the. motor-body builders of New Zealand placed their facilities at the disposal of the Government to aid in overcoming the shortages of essential motor-vehicles for military purposes and 300 vehicles were constructed in ten days. This achievement was revealed by the Mayor (Sir Ernest Davis) in welcoming the delegates to the conference of the Motor-Body Builders' Association. The conference carried with enthusiasm a resolution to be transmitted to the Motor-Body Builders’ Association of Britain stating: “With confidence deep-rooted in 'racial pride, tile New Zealand motor-body builders assembled in annual convention express sympathy with you in your difficulties and admiration of your high courage. We know your factories are being destroyed, but your spirit is indestructible, and victory will be achieved.”
