LULL IN FIGHTING. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 23. Italian leaflets dropped recently and addressed particularly to certain Greek soldiers promised deserters 500 drachmars each. Next day, says an agency message, these certain soldiers replied in their own way by capturing 1140 Italians. The correspondent also describes celebrations which began on Sunday in connection with Greece’s National Day —March 25. Fifteen thousand people drawn from youth and workers’ organisations passed in a procession before the Unknown Soldier’s monument. The King and the Grown Prince took part in a ceremony at the memorial which was witnessed by thousands. The fighting in Albania remains on a small scale, though artillery is active on both sides, states a London report. The Greek artillery smashed an Italian patrol attempting to penetrate the Greek lines. The latest reports indicate that the Lilians, after their recent heavy losses, are hesitating before making any ' fresh counter-attack against the Greeks. A correspondent with the Greek army reports that the only enemy activity yesterday was an all-day bombardment which resulted only in a great waste of ammunition. Greek gunfire caused considerable damage to enemy positions.
