(From Our Own , Correspondent.) MILSON, March 22.

• The Milson' Salvation Army hold its annual picnic at the Featherstone Street Park under ideal conditions. There were about 80 odd children present with their teachers. Races were run, all the primary classes receiving prizes. Results: —Mrs Penketh's girls, L. Moxham 1, J. Phillips 2, S. Norman 3; R. Robinson 1, Joan 2, D. Phillips 3; Miss Thompson's girls, E. Gulliver 1, J. Palmer 2, G. Hocking 3. Apples, lollies and peanuts were given to the children. A club has been formed by Mrs Penketh for the bigger girls, sewing, drill, games and lessons in first aid by a St. John Ambulance Brigade cadet sergeant ■being the programme. At the euchre party run by the school committee on the 20th inst., the winners were: Mrs Vosper and Mr Barclay; special Mr Scherp. The annual meeting of the local branch of the Labour Party was held at the weekend, when officers were elected as follow: Mr Fechan, chairman; Mr Leathlcy, vicechairman; Mr BenueUo, secretary.
