FAILURE TO REGISTER.
YUGOSLAV'S PREDICAMENT. . Per Press Association. TE AROHA, March 24. In the Magistrate's Court Ivan Sorich, aged 21, a farmhand, was charged with failure to enrol in the National Reserve and Anthony Sorich, his father, was charged with being the employer of a man failing to enrol. Constable Monson stated that accused did not enrol as he did not know whether he would have to fight for Yugoslavia or Britain. The Magistrate said this did not alter the tact that he should have enrolled. The son was fined £1 and costs and the father £4.
