CHAMPION OF CHAMPION RINKS
Champion rinks from 12 clubs in the Manawatu Bowling Centre were engaged at the Manawatu Bowling Club's green in the centre's champion ot champions tournament to-day. The green, although naturally showing the effect Ot this week's rain, was in line condition. Ihe wind proved somewhat tricky. Each game was of 21 heads.
The following were the early results: First round.—Terrace End: McLean, Melville, Barry, Anderson (skip) SO v. Feilding: McColl, Edwards, Hobday, Wenham (skip) 7. Levin Central: Martin, Hayes, Hough,- Langelan (skip) 30 v. Woodvillc: Lovell, Batchelor, Pickering, Whillans (skip) 8. Foxton: Huff, Tunnicliff, Trueman, Mattar (skip) 25 v. Hokowhitu: Knowles, Gardner, Richardson, Bailey'(skip) 17. Palmerston North: Child, J. Croucher, J. H. Nash, Bary (skip) 30 v. Manawatu: Robinson, Todd, Tantrum, Taylor (skip) 19. The Northern, Takaro, Woodville and Dannevirko rinks had byes in the first round.
