The gold and silver mallets croquet tourney is drawing towards its final stages, the section played at the Northern greens having been completed and the finalists, who were due to be decided to-day, will meet on Monday. Mrs Anstis was in charge at the Manawatu green to-day. A bright game was witnessed yesterday between Mrs L. Wood (Northern) and Mrs Cudwalladcr (Wellington), the former being on the top of her form and playing faultless croquet to cause Mrs Cadwallader's first loss.
