MELODY DANCE CLUB.
A very large number of patrons attended the usual weekly Melody dance on Saturday evening in the Empire Hall, organised by Miss Winifred Hubbard. Many novelty dances added to the attraction, including the ladies' lucky chair, which caused some amusement "in searching for the lucky number. A leading professional orchestra rendered the dance music. Mr L. Rabbits acted as pianist in the unavoidable absence of Mr A. Russ. Bright and snappy numbers kept everyone merry throughout. Supper was' served on the usual bountiful scale, including savouries. Mr Howard York carried out the duties of M.C. in his usual efficient style. Next Saturday promises to be a big night for j the Melody patrons, who are invited to attend in full force.
