COLLEGE STREET SCHOOL.
At a meeting of the College Street School Committee, on Monday 7, Mr H. G. Mills presided. The resignations of Misaes C. L. Curry, K. C. Coup and F. L. Roes from the school staff, were received with regret. It was decided to extend congratulations, to these ieaebers on their appointment to the staff of the Intermediate School. The headmaster (Mr A. H. McLean) reported that the roll now stood at 516 During September the attendance was slightly below the average owing to the prevalence of colds and. a few cases ot measles. Official intimation had been received from the Wanganui Education Board to the effect that the school would be recognised as a contributing school under the Intermediate School regulations. Three of the present school staff, -Misses Curry, Ross and Coup were to be congratulated on receiving appointments in the ‘intermediate School. The schools medical officer has completed the first stage of the Health Department’s treatment for the prevention of diphtheria. During the month the school co-operated with the school ladies’ committee in collecting produce for sale at the Patriotic Shop. Seventy dozen eggs, collected by the school, were donated to the Willard Home.
