A featured the donations last month was the high state of repair of the books and magazines in general. One of the biggest donations was the complete library of the Post and Telegraph Department employees’ social club at this centre, and since then about 800 copies of a monthly literary review have been received, this being one of the most acceptable types of literature for the service. Thus the current month’s collection has been started well.

So heavy was the quantity of reading matter received last month that assistance was sought from the Women’s Auxiliary, 1025 books being forwarded, together with 358 magazines and periodicals.
