MAN FATALLY INJURED.
CAR, GOES OVER BANK. Per Press Association . TAIHAPE, Oct. 7. W llham Henry Walker. : aged 50 married, employed as a labourer at the military camp at Waiouru, was fatally injured on Friday evening when, Ins car went over a bank near Mangaweka When passing another car which was travelling in the opposite direction Mr Walker was accompanied bv Mr J J Murphy, also of Waiouru ~Camp. Deceased was on the nay to his home at Mangaweka when the accident occurred. Both men were thrown out when the car left the road and fell 60ft, but Mr Murphy escaped with superficial injuries. Mr Walker was seriously hurt and died in the Tailiape hospital about 4 a.m. on Saturday.
