ANGLERS’ CLUB.
The annual meeting of tho Palmerston North Anglers’ Club was held recently, Mr H. Lane presiding. Last year’s programme was decided upon for this year also, as the abnormal times prevented any warrantable change in competitions, etc. The retiring secretary (Mr R. Pratt) was accorded a vote of appreciation for his services The election of officers resulted :—Patron, Mr IT. G. Bagnall; president, Mr E. Ashcroft; vice-presi-dents, Messrs H. Collinson and H. Ware; club captain, Mr O. Brill; vice captain,'Mr H. Lane; hon. auditor, Mr P. S. Larcomb (who has always held this office) ; secretary and treasurer, Mr H. Lane; committee, Messrs R. Pratt, L. Hommingson, A. Dale, E. Ward, R. C. Davev, T. Docherty, E. Wilson, and H. Bristow, with power to add. All subscriptions were reduced from 5s to 2s 6d on account of the good balance in the club’s funds.
