FEILDING STOCK SALE.

WETHER MARKET FIRM. DAIRY CATTLE SELL WELL. At the Feilding stock sale yesterday the market for hogget mutton was firmer, but ewe mutton suffered a substantial setback in values. Wethers wero in very short sup ply and the market was firm at late rates. Store sheep were moderately represented and there was no change in the market except in respect of ewe hoggets, some of which made up to 40s 2d. Dairy cattle again sold- and values were sustained at recent pricos, while boner cows were in strong demand. Yearling Jersey heifers experienced a particularly strong demand and prices for the best of the offering reached £7 6s and £7 17s 6d. Vendors of station cattle in some cases were unable to come to terms with buyers, and many of the lines wero passed in at auction, although private treaties were negotiated later in some instances. The market for fat cattle was firm and the entry was a light one. Quotations ore: FAT SHEEP.
