At a spe-cial meeting of the West End Lawn Tennis Club the secretary reported that a considerable number of players had signified their intention of joining. It was obvious that, despite the absence of members serving with the troops, the coming season would be most successful. It was decided to grant special privileges to members of the permanent military forces and approve of special rates in respect of members going into or returning from camp. As the courts were still very damp it was decided to postpone the opening day.
