Mrs Elliott reported that £24 12s 6d had been raised at the patriotic shop in 2£ days, which was considered most satisfactory, seeing that there were no raffles conducted. She thanked the members who had given assistance each day and all who had sent in contributions. Arrangements for the annual meeting were made and for the shield competitions. Mrs Eliott, Miss M. Poole and Mr L. Callis had been asked to arrange the competitions, which will be held in the grounds of the president, Mrs F. J. Nathan. It was decided to secure a qualified examiner for first aid and to invite Mrs Holmes, Provincial Commissioner, to attend. Miss C. Warburtom was nominated as delegate to attend the annual meeting of the Wellington province, Miss M. Warren to go if the former is unable to attend.
All Saints’ Hanger Company held their usual meeting on Wednesday, the early part of the time being spent in making hussifs. Miss 'Martin described guiding in England and suggested a few games. It was decided that in future brass work be done on Saturdays to save time at the meetings. The Takaro Guide Company opened their nieetings with roll-call and inspection. The first game taken by the leader, Monica Bclgravc, was that of indoor basketball. This was followed by patrol corner time, during which both diagonal and square lashing were practised. He lays were then taken, as a competition between the patrols. Folk dances were held. A short campfire was last taken when Christmas carols were practised.
