(Rec, 11.35 a.m.) ' LONDON. Oct. 4. The Japanese-Axis agreement 'had a shortlived effect on the Stock Exchange markets. A notable feature has been the increased interest in leading equities. Gilt-edged stocks are slightly easier, but ordinary shares of prominent industrials have experienced an increased demand.
