NAVAL WARFARE.
SINKING OF SUBMARINES,
LONDON, Oct. 4
An Admiralty communique this morning says that in the last few weeks units of the British Navy have sunk seven German U-boats and two Italian submarines and damaged others.
The communique added that' the British submarine Osaris torpedoed and sank an Italian destroyer in the Adriatic on September 22. Two weeks earlier the Osaris / sank an Italian supply,ship of 3000 tons. NAZI LAUNCH FOUND.' (Rec. 12.2 'p.m.)' LONDON, Oct. 4. A message from Rio de Janeiro says the Correio de Manha’s Bahia correspondent says that a German-manned motor-launch suspected of supplying German submarines in the South Atlantic has been discovered on the southern coast of Bahia.
