CRIPPLED CHILDREN
"Week-end entertainment in Palmerston North is to he provided for mem-' hers of crippled children’s clubs in the Wanganui and Wellington areas, who will thus he-able to enjoy the beauty, of tho cherry blossom drive in the Es-1 planade. The entertainment is being provided by the welfare siib-connnit-! tee, under Mr W. G. Black, and exe- ! entire members of the Mannwatu branch of the Crippled Children So-, ciety. The children will arrive on Sat-1 urdav evening and leave on Sunday evening- after their drive through the Esplanade. Other organisations to cooperate in their entertainment will, he the Younger Set of the Bed Cross , Society, the Young Women's Chris-[ tian Association and the Girl Guides’ j Association. Twentv-threo children : will come from Wellington and nine from Wanganui. They will he met by members of the Younger Set on Sat- j urday and entertained at night at a j concert by the Y.W.C.A., Girl Guides’ \ Association and Crippled Children So- j ciety, with Mrs Black as hostess. After lunch on Sunday at the Y.W.C.A. tho Younger Set will take the visitors to afternoon tea and for che Esplanade drive.
